A quick over-view

Gozo is the sister island of Malta and is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, 60 nautical miles south of Sicily and just over 100 nautical miles north of North Africa.  The coastline is rich with harbours, inlets and coves between long stretches of cliffs.  It is a typical example of a Mediterranean island; with a wealth of history and evidence of the civilisations that have throughout the times, settled on the islands, and above all, amazing clear blue seas, a must for all divers!!

Here, the Mediterranean is at its richest, with abundant marine life, dramatic underwater scenery, caves, reefs, drop-offs and visibility often in excess of 40 metres.

St Andrews Divers Cove

We had our trip organised by a company called St Andrew's Divers Cove who are in a large town called Xlendi, on the south-west coast of Gozo.  They are situated literally 10m from the waters edge and can organise everything from accommodation in hotels or self-catering apartments, to hire cars and day trips.  They are fully equipped with 250 cylinders and plenty of dive equipment to hire and are open every day of the year.

For more information on the company, the island or any of the dive sites then click on this hyperlink:
