Kiel is a harbour town on the Northern coast of Germany, in the Baltic Sea.
The Baltic Sea is only about 40 - 45m deep, mostly. In the area close to Kiel it is only about 25m deep. This makes it a good first sea dive, but it can be a little wild. The Baltic is a very under navigated and under explored sea and I have heard of someone spending a few months with a boat and discovering many new wrecks. A club nearby to us spends more time than we do there. They are called the Global Divers and they have a good knowledge of this cold, but excellent diving world.
