Right, just a quick intro into the kit we use. Firstly, there is the bombproof Buddy jacket from AP Valves. This seems to be the choice of everyone in our club whether novice or expert. We don't have anybody that dives with anything else, in fact.
In total we have 12 of these jackets. Some are Commando and some are Explorer models. The only other one that members dive with is the Profile. Next we move on to the regulators. We currently use two types, the first is a US Divers model but I can't find pictures of that yet and the others are Scubapro's Mk 16 with R190 Second stages and octopus. These are ideal for the Baltic Sea, as they come as cold water protected.
These are very reliable, so far, and we have coupled them with the Uwatec twin console which gives the divers the added bonus of having an ascent warning. We use quite a bit of other kit as you can imagine, but I can't get pictures of anything else!! The pictures above came courtesy of the manufacturers web sites...thanks. We have 16 cylinders in total but unfortunately only a small Coltrisub compressor. This takes nearly 40 minutes to fill a 12ltr cylinder so makes the Equipment Manger's life a misery!! We have plans in the pipeline though!
